Eta Theta - Saint Louis University
HELLO AND WELCOME
TO THE DO GOOD SISTERHOOD OF ETA THETA AT SAINT LOUIS UNIVERSITY!
I am excited to welcome you to the Eta Theta chapter of Delta Gamma's website!
Here, we strive to support one another in sisterhood through the twists and turns of life, and maintain high ideals of friendship, character, and social responsibility.
A Delta Gamma is an individual who holds a deep care for the world around them. They are dedicated to upholding Article II of the Delta Gamma Constitution which encourages us to promote our educational and cultural interests, create a true sense of social responsibility, and develop the best quality of character. In the Eta Theta chapter, these are truly lived out in a multitude of ways all while having fun with our sisters. The friendships I have found within this sisterhood are second to none. I have found shoulders to cry on, friends to live with, and lifelong friends. These friends make college feel like home, and have a special knack for making life’s everyday moments fun. From family dinners to late night study sessions to the dance floor at every event, these are the moments I will always be thankful for with my sisters.
Our larger community matters a great deal to us, which is why we take time to dedicate to service. Members volunteer year-round with Kids Vision for Life giving vision screenings to children who would otherwise not have access to them and the Delta Gamma Center making sure that the visually impaired youth have plenty of opportunities to be KIDS! This only scratches the surface of the service that Delta Gammas do in our local community. On the national level, we join the other Delta Gamma chapters in hosting our own Anchorsplash and Anchorslam (done for the first time this spring), which fundraises for the Delta Gamma Foundation in our commitment to Service for Sight. Delta Gamma is unique in that our philanthropy was started, and is operated completely through Delta Gamma after a member, who was visually impaired herself, suggested we adopt it. We truly do stand for sisters helping sisters. This dedication to our members sets Delta Gamma apart and is part of why I am so proud to call myself a Delta Gamma woman.
In my role as president, I am incredibly lucky to work with a team of individuals who are incredibely dedicated and intentional in every part of their work. I cannot imagine taking on this role without having them by my side every step of the way. I am so grateful to this chapter for the encouragement and fun they show me every day. Without their faith in me this job would not be nearly as rewarding as it is. The memories I have made during my time in Delta Gamma are priceless to me. As I go into my senior year, I realize that I am rounding out my lasts, which reminds me to dance a little harder at every date dash, scream a little louder during each chant, and hug each of my sisters a little tighter. I am forever grateful for every gift that Delta Gamma has given me and continue to be grateful for this lovely, beautiful, warm, and encouraging home I have in DG.
L+ITB,
Morgan Wagner
